Perkins is one of the official drop-off sites for the 2011 Marine Corps Reserves "Toys for Tots" program. New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off until Wednesday, Dec. 21. The toys will be distributed to needy families locally through area churches and service organizations. Other drop-off sites are TJ's in Mahtowa; Market Place Foods and Moose Lake Motors in Moose Lake; Eskomo Pies in Esko; Northview Bank and Muni/City Offices in Barnum; Cromwell Self Serve in Cromwell; and Frandsen Bank and Trust, McDonald Video, Daugherty Appliance, Veterans Service Office, Holiday Station Cloquet, Cloquet Ford Chrysler and VFW Post 3979 in Cloquet.
