The new snowshoe trail at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is packed and open for free use to anyone with a pair of snowshoes. Environmental Institute staff, with help from several other staff members, began packing the trail in December as a new and fun way to see the outdoor part of campus. The starting point for the trail is on the south end of the building, just off the ring road near the Briggs Center gym. The current trail winds around and through the FDLTCC Environmental Institute’s Outdoor Classroom and through the hillside woods on the West side of the campus. Route signs will be posted soon, and staff encourage visitors to try out the trail. The trail is not lengthy and is suitable for beginners and people looking for a 30- to 60-minute snowshoe outing.
