Moose Lake students excel at Visual Arts Festival

Fourteen Moose Lake High School students submitted 16 pieces to the MSHSL Visual Arts Festival competition at South Ridge High School on Feb. 9 and they received a lot of positive feedback from Judges Ann Klefstad, Karen Monson and Lenore Lampi.

The students who participated include Taylor Dixon, Lindsay Loehlein, Emily Stark, Hope Sweeter, Tristen Richardson, Ana Medina,Maddie Wesely, Merissa Stevens, Brynn Johnson, Amanda Taylor, Hayley Hoffmann, Emily Christensen, Megan Fitzgerald-Clark and Alyssa Wright.

Lindsay Loehlein received an Excellent rating for Media Arts, Maddie Wesely received an Excellent rating for Crafts and Emily Christensen received an Excellent rating for Painting. Ana Medina’s Media Arts piece titled “How Do You Eat Your Apple?” received a Best of Show award and will be on display at the 2014 Judge’s Choice Spotlight on the Arts at Perpich Center for Arts Education. The Judge’s Choice winners are given the opportunity to display their work, discuss their artistic process, and celebrate their achievement at the Perpich Center for Arts Education.
