MCCU welcomes Malstrom as VP of Lending
Members Cooperative Credit Union (MCCU) has announced that Jason Malmstrom has joined the organization as vice president of lending.
In his new role, Malmstrom is responsible for managing all aspects of the credit union's lending operations, including indirect, mortgage, and business services.
“I’m very excited to have joined Members Cooperative Credit Union, because MCCU has a reputation for being member-centric. As a credit union, they are committed to their members’ financial well-being,” said Malmstrom. “I’ve truly felt at home since I arrived.”
Prior to joining MCCU, Malstrom worked in the mortgage banking industry for over 12 years in a variety of roles, most recently with a large regional mortgage bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and has owned several successful businesses in the Duluth area. Malmstrom has also been involved with many local organizations and currently participates in the Hermantown and Duluth Chambers of Commerce, Fuse Duluth, Gitchi Gummi soccer, and St. James School’s Home and School Association, serving as a board/committee member with several organizations.
Malstrom is married and has two children. He enjoys being very involved as a coach for his children’s sporting activities. He also loves the outdoors — running, skiing, golfing, fishing, and being active, and is proud to call the Duluth area home.
