Margaret 'Marge' A. Richardson
Margaret A. Richardson, 82, of Mahtowa, Minn., passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, Minn. She was born Nov. 11, 1931, in Fairmont (Martin County), Minn., to Vern and Alice (Clark) Rittenhouse, and graduated from Sherburn High School in 1949. Marge graduated from Beauty College and owned and operated Marge's Beauty Salon in Duluth. She later worked for Foreman and Clark clothing store as a tailor and also for Columbia Clothing as a tailor and office manager. Marge was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet and served as an eucharistic minister. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella and loved gardening.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Richardson; and one brother, Larry Rittenhouse.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Smith, Roxanne Parker, Margie Olson and Ruthie Zissos; two brothers, Francis and Robert (Jean) Rittenhouse; two sisters, Mary (Duane) Woldahl and Cecelia (James) Harris; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. The visitation will resume on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall.
