Linda Mae Tridgell

Linda Mae Huseby Franklin Tridgell

Linda Mae Huseby Franklin Tridgell, 64, of Columbia Heights, Minn., formerly of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at the J.A. Wedum Hospice Home in Brooklyn Park, Minn. She was born May 17, 1949, in Cloquet to Harry and Alice (Crotteau) Huseby and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1967. While living in Carmel, Calif., she helped to manage a bank, but she returned home to Cloquet in 1976 to raise her family. She spent her last 15 years in Columbia Heights to be with her husband, Dave, and to be close to her children and grandchildren. Linda was a beloved sister, wife, mom, and grandmother. She was afflicted by multiple sclerosis for 40 years, but that disease did not define her. Anyone who knew or even met her would define her by her smile and spirit. Linda was an optimist - and a fighter - and she left us too soon.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Alice Huseby, and is reunited with them in heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Tridgell; her children, Michael (Amanda) Franklin and Krista (Brian) Lindstrom; step-son, David (Angela) Tridgell; grandchildren, Caleb, Joseph and Zachary Lindstrom, Anna and Peter Franklin, and Caroline Tridgell; brothers, Terry (Sue) Bredenberg and Randi (Lisa) Huseby; sisters, Pam (Doug) Carter and Cheri (Dave) Manderfeld; James Franklin, her former husband; and many nieces, nephews, and other family she cherished. Linda is survived by so many people it is really hard to include them all - including literally hundreds of caregivers and friends too many to list.

Visitation: Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet, with interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, followed by a luncheon and time of fellowship in the church social hall.

The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care of Cloquet to assist them with arrangements. See the family online guest book at
