Disney Performing Arts Program.

The choir members, under the direction of Beth Anderson, put on a fantastic show, entertaining Disney Park guests from around the world at the outdoor venue at Epcot,

designed after the Disney Music Hall in Los Angeles, Calif. The location gave members the unique experience and opportunity to shine, while also elevating their performance skills at a high-profile venue. The group’s performance included a patriotic medley and a piece by “Styx.”

The group’s members also completed a workshop during their trip, where they developed fundamentals, reinforced performance concepts and fine-tuned techniques during their sessions with a professional entertainer. The choir participated in a “Disney Sings” workshop where students prepared music and choreography for a simulated Disney show, as well as recorded a song from a Disney animated feature film's soundtrack in a fast-paced recording studio environment.

This was the group’s sixth visit to the resort with the Disney Performing Arts Program, having performed for the first time in March 1999.

Vocal, instrumental and dance ensembles from all around the world apply to perform each year as a part of Disney Performing Arts at both the Disneyland Resort in California and the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at the resort for an international audience of theme park guests. Millions of performers have graced the stages of the Disney Parks in the more than 25-year history of the program.
