Elizabeth 'Betty' May Zezulka
Elizabeth "Betty" May Zezulka, 75, of Scanlon, Minn., passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, Minn. She was born May 13, 1939, in Birch Creek Township, Minn., to Helmer and Stella (Roseland) Larson. Betty graduated from Willow River High School and was united in marriage to Gerald Zezulka on July 27, 1957, in Faith Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Lake, Minn.
Betty enjoyed quilting, baking, fishing, camping, being outdoors and going to the farm, and writing family and church history books. She was a longtime member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Scanlon and Faith Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Lake.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert; and one sister, Helen Delly.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerald; three sons, Gerald, David (Kimberly) and Dennis (Lisa) Zezulka; one sister, Joyce (Richard) Cich; daughter-in-law, Diane Zezulka; six grandchildren, Danny (Jillian) Zezulka, Katie (Steve) Blair, Destini (Jonathan) Chambers, Genevieve Gurnoe, Nathaniel Zezulka and Lia Zezulka; two great-grandchildren, Lanicea and Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Monday, June 30, from 5-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, and Tuesday, July 1, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet, followed by a luncheon in the church social hall. Interment service is in Faith Lutheran Cemetery in Denham, Minn.
