Duluth unemployment rate remains seasonally higher despite job gains
Unemployment in Duluth remained at a seasonally higher rate of 7 percent in March, even though 324 people found work, according to state data released today.
Meanwhile, the rate remained at 7.7 percent throughout the Twin Ports region, which includes all of St. Louis, Carlton and Douglas counties even as more than 1,000 people found jobs.
Job gains were seen in the retail, professional business services, education and health, and the leisure and hospitality sectors.
