Lisa Marie Davis and Jack Wayne Purcell were married Oct. 24, 2009, at aVenue in Nashville, Tenn. The Honorable Joyce M. Ward, a general sessions court judge and close friend of the couple, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dadrea and David Davis of Greensburg, Pa. The groom is the son of Ardelle "Ole" Purcell of Cloquet, Minn., and the late Wayne Purcell.
The wedding party included family and long-time friends of the couple. The matron of honor was Michelle Davis-Judd, sister of the bride, of Albuquerque N.M., and the bridesmaid was Natalie Rizzi, sister of the bride, of Greensburg. The groom's attendant was Ardelle Purcell, mother of the groom, of Cloquet, Minn.; and groomsmen were Pete Fisher of Brentwood, Jason Pharris of Nashville, Morry Trent of Franklin, and the groom's brother, Robert Purcell of Cloquet. The ring bearer was Colin Rizzi, nephew of the bride, of Greensburg, and the flower girl was Lucy Davis-Purcell, the couple's Boston Terrier.
The wedding featured a variety of musical guests who regularly collaborate with the newlyweds. A reception was also held at aVenue. It included musical performances by friends of the couple and the groom, who is a drummer/percussionist, accompanied many of the artists and guests as they performed.
The bride holds a master's degree in art history from West Virginia University. She manages Anna Wilson and serves as the director of external affairs for Hands On Nashville. The groom attended Belmont University and is vice president of promotion at Big Machine Records.
The newlyweds reside in Nashville.
