Cloquet man gets jail time for Superior carjacking
A Cloquet man will spend 138 days behind bars for a 2012 carjacking.
Cheyenne Allen Smith, 20, pleaded guilty in Douglas County Circuit Court on Jan. 17 to an amended charge of take and drive vehicle without consent as a party to a crime. He was sentenced to two years of probation and 138 days in jail. He was also ordered to undergo a chemical dependency evaluation, provide a DNA sample and pay $268 in court costs. Charges of obstructing an officer and possession of synthetic marijuana were dismissed.
