CITY OF CLOQUET
City of Cloquet Stormwater Pollution Prevention
As mandated by the Clean Water Act and Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the City of Cloquet has developed a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program. The SWPPP is a document unique to the City of Cloquet; a required piece of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Permit (MS4) necessary to own and operate a storm sewer system.
The purpose of the SWPPP is to prevent pollution of our State's rivers, lakes and streams. An important part of this goal is public education and participation. In order to help achieve this objective the City will hold an annual meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to receive public comment regarding the adequacy of the SWPPP.
Notice is hereby given that the City of Cloquet will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1307 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, MN 55720 to consider public comment on the City's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
Complete copies of the SWPPP are available for public inspection on the City's website www.ci.cloquet.mn.us. Hard copies may be obtained in the Engineering Department at City Hall. Any questions or comments regarding this notice or requests for additional information can be directed to the Engineering Department at 879-6758.
