CITY OF CLOQUET NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that there will be a public hearing to consider a Variance for Son Group, LLC. (DQ Grill & Chill). The variance they are proposing is to the minimum front yard setback for a building addition adjacent to the frontage road in the Regional (Highway) Commercial District.
An application has been received from Son Group, LLC. (DQ Grill & Chill) pursuant to Section 17.2.11 of the City Code. The property is located at 1402 Highway 33 (PIN 06-510-5935) and is described as follows:
That portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (SW ¼ of NE ¼), Section 26, Township 49, Range 17, Carlton County, Minnesota described as follows: Commencing at a point on the North line of said SW ¼ of NE ¼ of Section 26, where it is crossed by the East boundary line of the easement for State Highway North 33; thence Easterly along the North line of the said SW ¼ of NE ¼ a distance of 225 feet; thence at right angles in a Southerly direction for a distance of 190 feet; thence Westerly and parallel to the North line of said SW ¼ of NE ¼ a distance of 225 feet to the East right of way line of State Highway Number 33; thence Northerly along said right-of-way to the point of beginning and there terminating, EXCEPT that portion of SW ¼ of NE ¼ of Section 26, Township 49, Range 17, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the North line of said SW ¼ of NE ¼ where it is crossed by the Easterly right-of-way line of Trunk Highway 33; thence Easterly along the North line of said SW ¼ of NE ¼ a distance of 19.95 feet, thence Southwesterly to a point on said Easterly right-of-way line which is 50.0 feet South of the point of beginning, as measured along said right-of-way line; thence Northerly along said Easterly right-of-way line to the point of beginning.
The hearing will be conducted by the Cloquet Planning Commission at its regular March meeting on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Cloquet City Hall, 1307 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, Minnesota. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal may do so in person at the hearing or in writing by addressing their comments to the Community Development Department, 1307 Cloquet Avenue, Cloquet, prior to the hearing.
