Andre P. Brissett
Andr P. Brissett
Andr P. Brissett, 62, lifelong resident of Cloquet, Minn., died Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, of an apparent heart attack. The son of Loretta and the late Robert Brissett, he was a 1965 graduate of Cloquet High School, attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth, was a employee of Sappi Paper Co., formerly Potlatch, for nearly 40 years and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. He loved fishing, enjoyed raising and owning dogs, and admired finely made motor vehicles, but his deepest devotion was to his family. His gruff manner never completely disguised his gentle and enormously generous heart.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Koszarek of Cloquet; his mother, Loretta Brissett of Cloquet; son, Stokes (Annie Rosen) Brissett of Cloquet; daughter, Emily Brissett of Duluth, Minn.; brother, Paul (Jane) Brissett of Duluth; sisters, Bridget (Bruce) Munson of Duluth, Erin (Dan) Erkkila of Grand Rapids, Minn., Cassandra Brissett of Cloquet, Magloire Sharstrom of La Crosse, Wis., and Mary Brissett of Alexandria, Minn.; a half-brother, Cormac Brissett of Milwaukee, Wis.; friend and ex-son-in-law, John White of Cloquet; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 2, from 5 p.m. until the 6:45 p.m. prayer service in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet. Visitation continued Friday, Jan. 3, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Cloquet. Burial followed in New Calvary Cemetery, Cloquet.
